I'm Searchlight. I'm 28 years old, been into seduction for a year and a half with mixed results. I originally found David DeAngelo's stuff and got into that, but I was having some problems. Women would like my cocky funny and talk to me, but I wasn't getting laid as much as I wanted.

I've always been able to get chicks. Whenever I got single when I was younger, I'd wind up sleeping with one or two women over a couple months then I'd get into another LTR. I broke up with my LTR of three years at the start of last year.

I felt kind of out it at that point, and I started poking around and found DYD, then ASF. I've lurked on FS for a year or so now, but I didn't want to post until I had something valuable to add.

Two weeks ago, I took an Approach bootcamp with Dimitri and Vincent. Since then, my results have been getting steadily better - I'll post a review in a week or two maybe.

My focus changed after taking the bootcamp. When we went into the field, Dimitri gave me a lot of praise and that made me feel good, then gave me his criticism. One thing I really had to work on was not seeming like a "hunter". He called it giving off the hunter vibe.

Well I stopped going out to "hunt chicks" and "sarge". Now I'm going out to meet chicks and have fun and see if I can find a woman worthy of me. It's worked gold.

So yesterday it's pouring rain out but I head out anyway, and go to a Starbucks. I see a brunette sitting at a table sipping a latte and reading a book. I grab a coffee with cream and sugar, then walk towards her.

I use Dimitri's seated opener and introduce myself. She says her name is HBBrunette.

We started talking and she says she's a paralegal. I was about to bust on her, but then I remembered she's cooperating and getting conversation and I should reward good behavior. I say that it's cool and ask her how she likes it.

She talks about about her job, and I listen. I'm screening, asking how passionate she is about it. She answers and qualifies herself so I compliment her (good behavior).

She asks me what I do. I hold back my C&F since she's trying to find about me. She's doing this so she can see how we get along and make herself cool with sleeping with me.

I talk about my job and how I like it, then I vibe off that into things I do for fun.

I tell her what I do and ask what she does for fun, but not in a bullshit way. I weight certain questions, like when I ask on a Sunday night if she's more likely to go out or stay in. Ask if she reads, likes tv, all the time implying the answer means a lot to me but sometimes not letting her feel like she knows what the right answer is.

After she jumps through a hoop, I qualify her with a compliment. It's so smooth. The humor is just coming from a smile and light joking, no hardcore stuff. I throw in a little playful "Yeah really?" said tongue in cheek when she tries to impress me.

The vibe's good. Just really relaxed, getting to know each other. Already set up a frame where we're both seeing if we'd be a good match for each other, instead of some value battle busting shit. I get it now, in the daytime you don't need to be over the top and I need to pay attention to what's going on. This was a cute chick reading a book and drinking a drink on a rainy day, so I just vibe with her.

After we sat an hour and have talked about some good stuff I go for the venue change. THIS was the make or break point in the pickup.

SL: HBBrunette I'm going to pick up a pair of fuzzy slippers and a bathrobe now at the mall. Come with me.
HBBrunette: I don't know.
SL: Or not, that book does look pretty good.
HBBrunette: Yeah the mall sounds fun.

Women!

On the short walk over to the mall I have an umbrella and she doesn't which makes for easy kino which she accepts. I put my arm around her as we walk and hold the umbrella with my other hand. I ask her if she likes pets on the way over and she says she does. I say good, I'm looking for a big house, a big family, and a really big dog out of life.

We go shopping together like a couple and look at good stuff. I check out Sebastian's favorite store which is a cooking store. He says it makes it easy to screen them on domestic stuff in a really situationally relevant way. He was right, and I get into talking about what she can cook for me.

I then steal another Seb line and say "That's good you can cook dinner. I can only cook breakfast."

We walk through the kitchen store, have a free demo cup of their expresso machine, then we go play with bathrobes and slippers. We're trying them on in the store, and playing around. I smack her on the bum with my wet umbrella and it leaves a wet mark on her pants.

We check out a couple other things and soon it's dinnertime. I say we should get dinner and she says okay. We go to Chili's.

There's a hot Puerto Rican waitress serving us, and I flirt with her. I follow the waitress rules:

1) Get it out of the job/customer relationship.
2) Get it to appear like she's just doing her job.
3) Be discreet.

So I flirt with her just a little bit, and HBBrunette gets jealous. Go social proof! I lay off it in a bit and just relax with her. We get margaritas and chips and salsa and we're talking about places we've travelled and things we've done. I ask her the craziest nonsex thing she's ever done and she says windsurfing. I tell her about how I went windsurfing in Australia and we've got a really good connection now.

The waitress comes back with our food and we eat. Now I bust on her and how she eats some, saying she eats her burger the way a guy would. She busts back and says I'm eating my pita the way a girl would.

We have another round of margaritas, then I ask her if she's ever had ice wine. She says she hasn't, and I say you've got to try it, come for a quick glass. You can't stay long though, since my apartment is a mess and I'll feel embarassed.

I pay the bill and then walk HBBrunette out of Chili's, and pull a waitress the move Sebastian showed me on workshop.

SL: Oh, I need to use the men's room. Wait here.

I walk back inside, use the bathroom, then find my waitress.

SL: You're one of the most fun waitresses I had in a long time.

She smiles at that.

SL: I don't want to make my blind date jealous, but I'd love to grab a cup of coffee with you sometime.

She says it'd be fun and I #close her, then quickly tuck the piece of paper into my pocket and run outside. HBBrunette is waiting like a good girl.

We walk back to my place, arm around her waist again, holding her even closer now. She says she's really happy to meet me, when it's cold and rainy she gets sad sometimes.

SL: Yeah I'm really glad too. Isn't it amazing the connection you feel with a complete stranger can take you from feeling cold to feeling warm and feel full of energy?

I gesture away at feeling cold in a Speed Seduction way. I don't like to use too much SS, but I think a little about feeling hot and cold actually works well.

We get back into my place.

HBBrunette: Your place isn't messy at all!
SL: Yeah I guess one of my other girlfriends snuck in and cleaned it when I was away. Maybe there'll be a chocolate on my pillow.

HBBrunette gives me a skeptical nasty look.

SL: Okay okay! I'll split the chocolate with you!

She laughs.

I open a bottle of ice wine and pour a couple glasses, then put on a DVD. We're both pretty wet from the rain despite the umbrella so I go into my bedroom and put on the robe and slippers I just bought, and come out and give her my old, worn-in robe and old Tigger slippers.

SL: You can change in there and I'll hang up the wet clothes. You can take off when they're dry in a little bit.

We sit down and watch the movie, and cuddle. She looks really cute in my old worn-in green bathrobe and Tigger slippers. I make popcorn, and we eat popcorn and watch the movie. We're sitting there all warm, cuddling, and it's good.

SL: Have you ever felt the city is too much?
HBBrunette: What do you mean?
SL: I mean. There's so much here but no one knows each other. Wouldn't it be good to be out in the country on a night like this, with our popcorn and our wine, sitting by the fireplace all comfortable together?

She goes DDB, and we start kissing. After we kiss, I take her into my bedroom. Token LMR later, I just got my first sameday daytime lay!
